IRGC imposes sanctions against ships in the Strait of Hormuz
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced the introduction of sanctions against ships that cross the "restricted zone" designated by Iran in the Strait of Hormuz.
According to an IRGC representative, violators will be denied any services if they attempt to pass through the strait again.
He said the "restricted zone" will cover the area of the Iranian port of Chabahar, as well as other parts of the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea.
