Zelensky ready to meet Putin at G20 in the U.S.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wants to arrange a personal meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin during the Group of Twenty (G20) summit in Miami.
According to Zelensky, he will fly to Miami if the head of the Kremlin attends the summit of G20 leaders, which is scheduled for December 2026.
"We have to be there. We have to meet, talk and make a decision," Zelensky stated.
According to him, what he intends to say to Putin matters less than the results.
"It's not about words. What I say to him or what he wants to say to me — it doesn't matter. Results matter. That's all," the Ukrainian leader said.
The Kremlin so far refuses to say whether Putin will fly to Miami for the G20 summit. The last time he personally attended a Group of Twenty meeting was seven years ago.
