Were residents of a building in Baku relocated due to the construction of a metro shaft? — the organization responds
Information has spread that residents of one of the buildings in Baku's Nasimi district were relocated in connection with underground work being carried out in the Baku metro.
A local resident reported this in an appeal to the Baku.ws editorial office.
According to him, the building in question is located at 116 Suleyman Rahimov Street. The citizen also claimed that cracks had appeared in the building because of the underground construction work.
In this regard, Bakhtiyar Mammadov, head of the public relations division of the Communications Department of the Baku Metro CJSC, stated that the information about the relocation of the building's residents does not correspond to reality.
"A Baku metro shaft is being built on the territory. The geological features have been fully studied, and the excavation work is being carried out while ensuring the safety of the surrounding buildings, structures and facilities, as well as of the construction itself. Information about the eviction of residents from buildings is false. Currently, the construction work is being carried out with safety and control measures in place," the CJSC representative added.
