Today marks the 108th anniversary of the liberation of Baku from the occupation of Armenian-Dashnak forces.
As 1news.az reports, this was stated in a post by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the social network X.
It is noted that 108 years ago, the liberation of Baku by the Caucasus Islamic Army, which also included the Azerbaijani Corps, became an important turning point in Azerbaijan's struggle for statehood.
"This historic victory demonstrated the Azerbaijani people's aspiration for independence and statehood, their unity, valor and self-sacrifice, as well as unity with their allies. With deep respect and gratitude, we honor the bright memory of all the heroes who gave their lives for the sake of this historic victory," the statement says.
