An arts school will begin operating in Khankendi
In accordance with the relevant decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan, amendments have been made to the list of institutions subordinate to the Ministry of Culture, under which the Arts School of the city of Khankendi will officially function as an institution of arts education under the Ministry of Culture.
The same decision established the corresponding legal status of the Kurmangazy Arts School in the city of Fuzuli.
The launch of the Arts School in Khankendi is one of the important directions in the restoration of social, educational, and cultural infrastructure in the territories liberated from occupation. The creation of the school will make it possible to provide children and young people with access to arts education, to reveal their creative potential, and to contribute to passing on the rich cultural traditions of Karabakh to future generations.
In the first stage, the school plans to train up to 100 students. Subsequently, their number is expected to increase at least threefold. In addition to music, the instruction will also cover other areas of the arts, taking demand into account.
In order to determine the need for arts education in the liberated territories, the Ministry of Culture has created a special section for electronic applications in the unified personal account MyCulture. At present, 300 people have registered for Khankendi, Shusha, Lachin, Kalbajar, Jabrayil, and Zangilan.
The applications received will be analyzed by territory and specialty and taken into account in organizing instruction, determining fields of training, and providing the school with teachers.
The launch of the new Arts School in Khankendi will become part of the "Great Return" process, complementing it with a cultural and creative component.
