Issues of Azerbaijan's cooperation within TRACECA discussed
Azerbaijan attaches special importance to cooperation within TRACECA, playing an active role in the development of transport links between Europe and Asia.
This was stated by Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov at a meeting with Jasurbek Choriev, Secretary General of the Permanent Secretariat of the TRACECA Intergovernmental Commission.
In this context, the minister emphasized that Azerbaijan's favorable geographical location, its modern transport infrastructure and transit capabilities make an important contribution to effective and sustainable development.
The meeting provided information about the work being carried out on the initiative and through the efforts of Azerbaijan in the field of developing transport infrastructure, expanding the capabilities of the Baku International Sea Trade Port, as well as improving railway and road connections.
The importance of further building up the potential of the Middle Corridor, increasing the volume of cargo transportation along the route, simplifying and digitalizing transit procedures, as well as strengthening coordination between the participating countries was emphasized.
