Armenian-American bilateral defense consultations held in Yerevan

Armenian-American defense consultations were held at Armenia's Ministry of Defense.

From the American side, the consultations were attended by the commander of the U.S. Kansas National Guard, Brigadier General Paul Schneider, as well as representatives of various Pentagon structures.

The results of programs implemented in recent years within the framework of cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the United States in the defense sphere were summarized. The existing potential for developing interaction in all areas of cooperation was examined.

U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Andrew Loomis noted that the United States will continue to support the defense reforms being carried out in Armenia, employing within the framework of this process of army transformation all of its potential in the sphere of advisory support, exchange of experience, as well as assistance programs in other areas.

At the conclusion of the consultations, the parties signed a protocol on the work done and the agreements reached.
