AYNA announces changes to bus routes during Formula 1

The Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA) has warned of upcoming changes to the traffic scheme in Baku in connection with the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

According to AYNA, the routes of dozens of bus lines will change, while the operation of routes No. 72 and E1 will be temporarily suspended. Regular and express buses will be redirected along alternative streets.

Thus, from 9:00 p.m. on September 19 until midnight on September 21, the routes of 13 lines will change.

Buses No. 1, 2, 4, 10, 20, 32, 46, 88A, 120, 120E and H1 will travel along Dilara Aliyeva and Kovkab Safarliyeva streets and Neftchilar Avenue, after which they will continue along their usual routes.

Route No. 125 will run along Neftchilar Avenue, Rashid Behbudov and Dilara Aliyeva streets.

Express route M9 heading toward the "Azi Aslanov" metro station will travel along Dilara Aliyeva and Kovkab Safarliyeva streets and Neftchilar Avenue, and then continue along its established scheme.

From September 21 to 26, the routes of 26 lines will change.

Buses No. 1, 2, 4, 20, 46, 88A, 120, 120E and H1 will travel along Kovkab Safarliyeva Street and Neftchilar Avenue.

The movement of buses No. 20, 88A and 120E toward the city center will be organized along Afiyaddin Jalilov, Yusif Safarov and 28 May streets.

Route M9 heading toward the "Elmlar Akademiyasi" metro station will run along Yusif Safarov, 28 May and Rashid Behbudov streets. In the opposite direction, buses will travel along Dilara Aliyeva and Kovkab Safarliyeva streets and Neftchilar Avenue, and then continue along the usual scheme.

Route No. 5 will serve passengers in two directions:

• "Nariman Narimanov" metro station - Suleyman Rahimov Street;

• Salyan highway - Bibi-Heybat Mosque - Baku Funicular, monument to Bahram Gur.

Route No. 6 will also operate in two directions:

• "Azadlig prospekti" metro station - Akhundov Garden;

• 20th district - monument to Bahram Gur.

The movement of route No. 61 toward the Central Bank will be organized along Samed Vurgun, Shamsi Badalbeyli and Rashid Behbudov streets. The latter will become the final stop.

Buses No. 65 heading toward the "Icherisheher" metro station will travel along Murtuza Mukhtarov and Ahmed Javad streets to the final stop on Azerbaijan Avenue.

Route No. 88 heading toward the "28 May" metro station will run along Azadlig Avenue to the final stop on Fuzuli Street.

The movement of buses No. 10, 18, 31, 37, 53, 77 and 205 toward the "Icherisheher" metro station will be organized along Sheikh Shamil, Lermontov and Bunyad Sardarov streets. The latter will become the final stop.

Route No. 125 heading toward the "28 May" metro station will follow this scheme: Lokbatan circle - Silk Road - Mikail Mushfig Street - Badamdar circle - Mikail Mushfig Street - Abdulla Shaig Street - Mirzaagha Aliyev Street - Shamsi Badalbeyli Street - Azadlig Avenue - Dilara Aliyeva Street - Pushkin Street. The final stop will be located on Pushkin Street.

Buses No. 149 and 149E will run from the settlement of Sahil to the "Bina" shopping center - the "Lokbatan" transport hub.

Express route No. 195E will operate from the settlement of Alat to the "Bina" shopping center - the "Lokbatan" transport hub.
