Events held in the Azerbaijani Army on the occasion of the Day of State Sovereignty
A series of events was held in the Azerbaijani Army on the occasion of September 20 – the Day of State Sovereignty.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.
The events took place in the branches of the armed forces, formations and military units, the Separate Combined Arms Army, as well as special-purpose educational institutions.
The participants honored with a minute of silence the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who gave their lives for the Motherland, after which the State Anthem of Azerbaijan was played.
During the events, the congratulatory message of Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, to the personnel of the Azerbaijani Army was read out.
The speakers spoke about the importance of state sovereignty, the Patriotic War of 2020, and the subsequent military operations in restoring the country's territorial integrity.
In conclusion, the servicemen visited the graves of the martyrs, laid flowers, and honored their memory.
