Emin Huseynov: 1,083 families have returned to Khojavend
A total of 1,083 families of former internally displaced persons have returned to the Khojavend district.
As Report's correspondent informs from Khojavend, this was stated by the Azerbaijani president's special representative in the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend districts, Emin Huseynov.
He recalled that the City Day of Khojavend is celebrated annually on September 20.
"As you know, three years ago, as a result of a local anti-terrorist operation, in less than 24 hours our settlements that were then under occupation, including most of the Khojavend district and the city of Khojavend, were liberated from occupation. This year, City Day is being celebrated here for the first time.
The process of the return of former internally displaced persons to their native lands is being carried out on an ongoing basis. To date, about 4,500 people have settled in the Khojavend district. That is, 1,083 families have returned to their native hearths in Khojavend. In just one year, life has once again started to thrive in eight settlements," E. Huseynov said.
The president's special representative spoke about the enormous efforts that were made to make these days a reality.
"We bow our heads before the bright memory of our martyrs, who gave us these wonderful days, and we wish health to our veterans. We thank our valiant army, which, under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, gave the Azerbaijani people these happy days," Emin Huseynov added.
