Passenger bus on Khachmaz - Baku route suddenly caught fire while in motion - PHOTO

A fire broke out on a passenger bus traveling on the Khachmaz - Baku route.

As 1news.az reports citing AZERTAC, the incident was recorded today at 4:40 p.m. in the territory of the Shabran district, while the vehicle was heading toward the capital.

One of the bus's rear wheels suddenly caught fire. Passengers were promptly evacuated from the cabin, and initial measures were taken to extinguish the flames. However, due to the rapid spread of the fire, it was not possible to put it out on the spot on their own.

Ultimately, the fire was completely extinguished with the help of high-pressure water at a nearby car wash. No passengers were injured as a result of the incident.

Another bus was dispatched to the scene of the incident from the Khachmaz bus station, on which the passengers continued their journey to Baku.
