Ghalibaf: Iran does not intend to yield to Trump's pressure
The Speaker of Iran's parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, stated that diplomacy does not mean capitulation, but should make it possible to convert the country's military capabilities into political achievements.
"Diplomacy is not capitulation. It is about converting an advantage on the battlefield into political achievements," Ghalibaf said at an event in Tehran.
According to him, negotiations are also a form of confrontation. He noted that Iran will continue to resist military, economic, and informational pressure from its adversaries.
Ghalibaf also stated that Iran does not intend to yield to the pressure of U.S. President Donald Trump.
"Trump is dealing with a historic civilization, as well as with national and religious resistance," he noted.
According to Ghalibaf, the American leader will not be able to impose his will on Iran and its armed forces.
