Pashinyan: Armenia eagerly awaits the opening of the border with Turkey

Armenia is eagerly awaiting the opening of the border with Turkey, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during a panel discussion on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.

As Pashinyan noted, Yerevan is currently focused on implementing the TRIPP project. As a result of its implementation, Armenia will emerge from the blockade in which it has effectively been since the early 1990s.

"First of all, we will get rail communication with Azerbaijan. We are eagerly awaiting the opening of Armenia's border with Turkey and the opening of rail communication between the two countries. And in the general context, this will change international logistics as a whole, because the international community will get a new route between East and West," the head of the Armenian government said.

As a result, in his opinion, the railway connecting the countries of the Persian Gulf with the Black Sea region will also open.
