State Program for the development of the mining and metallurgical industry for 2027–2030 approved

President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order approving the State Program for the development of the mining and metallurgical industry for 2027–2030.

The document was prepared pursuant to the head of state's April order and is aimed at stimulating the growth and modernization of the country's heavy industry.

As part of the program's implementation, the Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to take direct control of the coordination of all planned measures and to annually submit a report to the President on the results achieved. The Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication will be responsible for independent monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of the document's implementation, commissioned by the government. Funding for the envisaged initiatives has been incorporated into the long-term budget system: the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Finance have been instructed to allocate the necessary funds annually when drawing up the state budget and investment programs.
