Traffic restored in Baku on streets where Formula 1 was held
Traffic has been restored on the streets along which the Baku City Circuit track runs, in connection with the 2026 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Immediately after the main race ended, work was carried out in the city to dismantle the track infrastructure and the grandstands at the Azneft roundabout, after which the central streets were returned to the use of motorists.
The traffic restrictions imposed on some of the streets where the race took place were lifted today at 00:00.
As of 12:30, traffic on the roads has been fully restored, with the exception of the section from the intersection of Uzeyir Hajibeyli and Pushkin streets to the intersection of Zarifa Aliyeva and Pushkin streets.
It should be noted that during the week of the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, additional opportunities were created for a more convenient organization of traffic in the central part of the city. In the morning and evening hours, transit corridors remained open along a number of main routes, which improved mobility options for city residents and drivers. In 2026, the opportunities for vehicle traffic were expanded even further. For the first time, a new transit corridor was organized from the intersection of Uzeyir Hajibeyli and Pushkin streets in the direction of Bulbul Avenue.
