Events held in the Azerbaijan Army to mark Remembrance Day - PHOTO
In connection with September 27 – Remembrance Day, a number of events were held in the branches of the armed forces of the Azerbaijan Army, in formations, units, military units, the Separate Combined Arms Army, and special educational institutions.
At the ceremonies, the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who gave their lives for the Motherland was honored with a minute of silence. The State Anthem of Azerbaijan was performed accompanied by a military orchestra.
The speakers spoke about the historical significance of the Victory won by the Azerbaijan Army in the 44-day Patriotic War, as well as about the heroism of the servicemen who were killed and wounded in the battles.
As part of the events, servicemen visited the Martyrs' Alleys and the families of the fallen, laid flowers at the graves, and honored their memory.
Military-patriotic events were also organized for the personnel, at which participants in the combat operations shared their memories, documentary films and video clips about the Patriotic War were shown, and tree-planting campaigns were held.
On September 27 at 12:00, all personnel of the Azerbaijan Army honored the memory of the martyrs with a minute of silence.
