Trump said he demanded that Zelensky "slow down" regarding strikes on Russian refineries

U.S. President Donald Trump said he demanded that Vladimir Zelensky "slow down" regarding strikes on the Russian fuel and energy complex, and that the latter said Ukraine might do so.

A Fox News anchor asked the American leader about the situation surrounding the ban on U.S. diesel fuel exports. "I spoke with <...> Zelensky. I said: 'You need to slow down regarding the [Russian] oil refineries.' He replied: 'Well, maybe we'll do that,'" noted Trump, who is at the Presidents Cup golf tournament in a suburb of Chicago (state of Illinois).

"But we will sort out this situation," the U.S. president added.
