Media: Rubio wanted Iran's delegation to leave the U.S. over the failure of talks
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio drove the Iranian delegation out of the country.
The Axios portal reported this, citing sources.
"Rubio on Monday demanded that the Iranian delegation to the UN General Assembly immediately leave the country after the talks reached a dead end," the article states.
It is noted that such a move by Rubio became an "unusual diplomatic rebuke," which, coupled with the lack of progress in the negotiations, showed the deep mistrust between Washington and Tehran. Within a few hours, the delegation headed to the airport and flew from New York to Doha.
