Car-sharing with electric vehicles is coming to Baku - a new service from Rentbutik

The era of car-sharing is beginning in Baku. Starting in April, the Rentbutik mobile application will offer users the opportunity to rent BYD Seagull electric vehicles by the minute, hour, or month as part of an innovative transportation solution.

The vehicles introduced as part of the project will be available across various locations in the city. Users will be able to find the nearest vehicle in the mobile application and unlock it in just a few clicks.

The Rentbutik car-sharing service allows users to select a vehicle in the app, make a payment, and start their trip without a physical key — simply by unlocking the car using their phone. This approach offers a more flexible, affordable, and convenient alternative to urban transportation.

According to company representatives, the main goal of the project is to provide an alternative to private car ownership, optimize urban traffic, and give users greater freedom of movement at a lower cost.

It should be noted that the Rentbutik mobile application has been operating since 2025. To date, many users have already listed their vehicles for rent via the platform or rented cars on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Starting in April, Rentbutik will further expand its offering by introducing minute-based and hourly rental options for electric vehicles.
