Speaker of Iran's parliament expects oil prices to rise to $140
The U.S. policy of imposing a naval blockade on Iran will lead to an increase in oil prices to $140 per barrel. This opinion was expressed by the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament and head of the delegation in negotiations with the U.S., Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.
“This was one of those useless pieces of advice that the U.S. administration receives from people like [U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott] Bessent, who also promote the policy of blockade [of Iran] and have driven oil prices to $120 and higher. The next stop is $140,” he wrote on X.
Ghalibaf also noted that the problem with the U.S. is “not in theory, but in thinking.”
