Pashinyan: peace between Yerevan and Baku has a binding legal basis
Peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan is based on a legally binding document. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a joint briefing with the President of the European Council, António Costa, and the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
"It is a misconception that the peace established today between Armenia and Azerbaijan lacks a binding legal basis, because in 2024, Armenia and Azerbaijan signed, and in both countries, a regulation on the joint work of border delimitation commissions was ratified. This is the first interstate agreement signed between our countries that has binding force in both nations," he said.
