Several US citizens may have been exposed to Ebola infection in the Democratic Republic of the Congo after contact with infected individuals.

According to the source, some Americans are in the high-risk group. One of the possible infected individuals, it is claimed, is already showing symptoms of the disease, but laboratory test results have not yet been published.
CBS, citing representatives of international humanitarian missions, reported that at least six people in Congo may have come into contact with the virus, three of whom are considered to be in the high-risk zone.
In turn, Reuters, citing the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), reports that several people affected by the disease outbreak in the DRC and Uganda are receiving assistance with evacuation.
Earlier, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a public health emergency of international concern due to the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda.
