Iran continues to discuss with the US the latest Iranian plan for settlement
Iran and the US continue through Pakistan to exchange remarks and proposals for adjusting the latest Iranian settlement plan.
This was stated by Islamic Republic Foreign Ministry spokesman Esma'il Bagha'i.
"Last week, despite the American side publicly declaring the Iranian plan unacceptable, through the Pakistani mediator we received a number of remarks and proposals for adjustments. Therefore, already the next day after sending our comments to the American side, we received from Pakistan a package of proposals that has been under consideration over the past several days. As was announced yesterday, our response remarks were also transmitted to the American side," he said during a press conference. According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, the negotiation process continues uninterrupted.
On May 17, the Fars news agency reported that in response to Iranian demands to the US, Washington put forward five conditions to Tehran that, in the view of the American administration, are necessary for continuing the process of settling the conflict between the two countries.
