Karabakh horses conquer spectators at prestigious CHIO Aachen tournament - VIDEO
More than 150 representatives of the Equestrian Federation of Azerbaijan successfully took part in the prestigious international tournament CHIO Aachen, held in Aachen.
As 1news.az reports, the tournament is considered one of the most authoritative events in world equestrian sports.
Held since 1898, CHIO Aachen, with more than a century of history, is called the “Wimbledon of equestrian sports.” The competitions featured representatives of leading countries of the world and renowned athletes ranked in the global top 100.
The tournament takes place at the Hauptstadion arena of the famous Soers complex, which seats 40,000 spectators.
Particular attention from spectators was drawn to the special program “Horse & Symphony,” dedicated to the theme of James Bond. The performance of the Military Band of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan together with the CHIO Aachen orchestra was met with applause from the public and gave the event a special atmosphere.
Karabakh and Dilbaz horses, reflecting the ancient traditions of Azerbaijani horse breeding, aroused great interest. National music and cultural compositions were warmly received by participants and guests of the tournament.
It is noted that the grace, agility, and aesthetics of the Karabakh and Dilbaz horses became a vivid demonstration of Azerbaijan’s rich equestrian culture on the international stage.
It is also reported that Aachen will host the FEI World Equestrian Championships in 2026. Against this backdrop, the participation of the Azerbaijani delegation is viewed as further confirmation of the country’s growing international prestige in the fields of sports and culture.
