Xavi considered for head coach position at Milan

Former Barcelona head coach Xavi could take charge of Milan.

As 1news.az reports, citing Corriere dello Sport, the candidacy of the former coach of the Catalan club is being actively promoted by Zlatan Ibrahimovic, an advisor to the investment company RedBird, which owns the Italian club.

According to the source, Milan management is considering appointing a coach with a modern approach and attacking philosophy of play.

It was previously reported that the club is undergoing large-scale personnel changes: head coach Massimiliano Allegri has left his post. General director Giorgio Furlani and sporting director Igli Tare have also left their positions.

Xavi led Barcelona from 2021 to 2024. Under his leadership, the Catalan club won the Spanish championship and the country's Super Cup.
