Azerbaijan identifies 9th-grade graduates unable to read and write

Analysis of the results of final exams for 9th grades in 2025 showed that among the students there are schoolchildren who cannot read and write.

This is stated in the 12th issue of the magazine of the State Examination Center "Abituriyent."

According to the data, among the ninth-graders who took the exam, six students were identified who do not possess reading and writing skills.

"Given that most exam supervisors did not record such cases in their protocols, it can be assumed that the actual number of such students is higher. By districts, the number of ninth-graders who cannot read and write was distributed as follows: one student each was identified in Ganja, as well as in Balakan, Beylagan, Agsu, Zardab and Surakhani districts," the report says.
