Number of deaths from earthquake in Venezuela continues to rise

The number of those killed as a result of the double earthquake in Venezuela on June 24 has risen to 4,829 people.

Speaker of the country's National Assembly Jorge Rodriguez reported this in his Telegram channel.

He added that 16,740 people were injured as a result of the earthquake, and 6,462 were rescued.

20,857 people were placed in 106 temporary shelters, and 17,907 people were left without housing as a result of the earthquake.
