U.S. completes another series of strikes on Iran
U.S. armed forces successfully completed another series of strikes on Iran, the U.S. Central Command in the Middle East (CENTCOM) reported.
"American fighters, drones and warships used precision munitions that struck dozens of Iranian military targets, such as coastal reconnaissance and air defense facilities, military logistics infrastructure and maritime facilities. This was the sixth night in a row during which the U.S. struck Iran," the statement said.
It emphasizes that "at the direction of the commander-in-chief, CENTCOM forces continue to degrade Iranian military capabilities and hold Iran accountable for recent attacks on commercial shipping."
On Friday night Iran was subjected to another American attack. Strikes were reported on military bases in the city of Bushehr, Qeshm Island, the ports of Bandar Abbas and Bandar Khamir, located in the Strait of Hormuz area. In addition, explosions were heard in the industrial city of Ahvaz in the southwest of the country and the airport of the city of Iranshahr in the southeastern Iranian province of Sistan and Baluchestan.
That night Iran attacked the American military base in Bahrain; the Kuwaiti army said it repelled an Iranian air attack; the Qatari Defense Ministry reported an Iranian missile attack.
