Two earthquakes occur in Iran at once
Two earthquakes with magnitudes of 4.5 and 4.9 occurred in western Iran.
This was reported by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
According to specialists, the foci of both earthquakes were at a shallow depth. Information about possible destruction and victims is being clarified.
In addition, a stronger earthquake with a magnitude of 5 was registered in the southwest of the country.
As reported by the National Seismological Center of Iran, the epicenter was in the area of the city of Saland in Khuzestan province.
The focus of this earthquake was at a depth of eight kilometers. The tremors were felt in the cities of Ahvaz, Andimeshk, and Dezful.
Rescue teams of the Red Crescent have been sent to the affected area to assess possible damage and provide assistance.
