CBS: nearly 100 US military personnel injured in Iranian strikes
Nearly 100 American military personnel were injured in Iranian strikes on US bases in the Middle East since July 7, CBS News reported, citing Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell.
According to him, 96% of the injured have already returned to duty. Most of the military personnel suffered mild concussions.
The strikes were carried out on American facilities in Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain and other countries in the region. The Pentagon has not publicly disclosed the exact number of injured and the extent of damage from the latest attacks.
The Pentagon did not disclose data on dozens of military personnel injured during three Iranian attacks on American facilities in Jordan. The department explained this by the need to maintain operational security.
