Trump: US will study possibility of exerting pressure on Israel
The United States will consider the possibility of exerting pressure on Israel to achieve the withdrawal of its troops from Lebanese territory.

"Well, I will consider it. I just heard about it <...>. And we will consider it," he said at a meeting with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun at the White House, commenting on the request to say whether the US would be ready to exert additional pressure on Israel. The question was asked in light of the fact that the Lebanese army accused Israeli forces of shelling their positions in the "pilot zone" in the city of Zautar-el-Gharbiya in the south of the country.
In the first half of the day, a mechanized column of the Lebanese army entered Zautar-el-Gharbiya, from where Israeli troops had previously been withdrawn. As the newspaper Asharq al Awsat writes, the Lebanese army must demonstrate the ability to maintain stability in the region and begin disarming supporters of the Shiite organization Hezbollah.
