Turkish dry cargo ship attacked in the Black Sea, one dead

A cargo ship flying the Turkish flag became the target of a drone strike in the Black Sea.

The incident occurred while the motor ship was en route from the Russian port of Taman to the Turkish Trabzon, reported the newspaper Sabah.

As a result of the attack on board the vessel “Reyhan Sarı” (Mv Reyhan Sarı), one crew member — a Turkish citizen working in the engine room — died on the spot. Three more sailors were injured and taken to medical institutions for assistance.

The ship was attacked off the coast of Novorossiysk or in international waters near Samsun: there is no exact information yet. Despite the material damage, the dry cargo ship retained its ability to sail.
