"They (foreign agents - TASS note) directly justify aggression, moreover, they approve this aggression, which was a physical insult. Here, a double standard is very simply visible and the reason for the double standard. Here is a very simple order to artificially impose hatred in Georgia, and specific agents, the agency, are carrying out this task. We will in every way oppose this task and all those people who are engaged in its implementation," Kobakhidze said.
On July 19, the Georgian Interior Ministry reported that it had detained a man who hit a foreign citizen after a conflict that occurred during a wedding at one of the hotels in the city of Telavi. According to the department, foreign vacationers insulted people present at the wedding from the balcony of a hotel room and poured water on the equipment. After that, the accused caused harm to the health of the foreign woman. He was detained on charges of intentionally causing minor harm to health. The court released the accused on bail.
A video has spread on social networks showing a man who identified himself as the groom's brother arguing with a woman speaking Russian at the threshold of a hotel room, after which he hits her in the face. The lawyer of the detainee Lali Aptsiauri confirmed to TASS that the victim is a Russian citizen. She also has Turkish citizenship.
