First flight of air taxi takes place in Astana - VIDEO
Demonstration flight of the unmanned air taxi AutoFlight Prosperity was carried out for the first time in the sky over Astana.
Organizers were the Kazakh Alatau Advance Air Group and the Chinese AutoFlight.
Takeoff and landing were vertical at the "Kazanat" hippodrome. The flight time was 10 minutes, during which the aircraft covered a distance of 2.4 km, making two circles. For safety reasons, there were no people in the aircraft's cabin; the air taxi was controlled automatically along the given trajectory.
The AutoFlight Prosperity aircraft will become an exhibit at the Games of the Future in the capital of Kazakhstan; it can be seen at the event on July 29 and 30. This model of air taxi is designed for one pilot and five passengers. The aircraft can reach speeds of up to 200 km/h using 13 electric motors and is capable of covering up to 200 km without recharging.
The first flight of an air taxi in Kazakhstan took place on May 19 at the Alatau City site in the city of Alatau, where an experimental legal regime and a special zone for urban air mobility (Urban Air Mobility) have been created.
