About 400 emergency ministry employees to be involved in Azerbaijan Formula 1 Grand Prix

Training sessions for specialized marshals on fire protection and rescue were held at the EMERCOM Academy as part of preparations for the 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix of Formula 1 Qatar Airways.

This was stated to journalists by the head of the Main Operational Directorate of the EMERCOM, Lieutenant Colonel Elvin Agaev.

According to him, a total of 186 marshals were involved in the exercises, of which 60 are professional firefighters from the Ministry for Emergency Situations.

According to Agaev, the training includes theoretical and practical parts:

"The theoretical part explains the rules of conduct in case of fire and other rules, and the practical part covers the procedure for working with technical equipment. It is planned to involve more than 30 units of special equipment of the ministry in the Grand Prix, as well as about 400 personnel."

It is recalled that the Azerbaijan Grand Prix of Formula 1 will be held in Baku on September 24–26.
