Amount of compensations paid to depositors of liquidated banks revealed

“During the first 6 months of 2026, compensation payments for banks in the process of liquidation continued.”
As 1news.az reports, this was stated by Sevinj Salimova, an employee of the public relations department of the Deposit Insurance Fund.
She noted that the current number of banks in the process of liquidation is 19.
“Based on the results of the first 6 months of 2026, a total of 1,729,887,654.29 manats in compensation was paid to depositors of liquidated banks. The number of depositors who received compensation amounted to 63,888 people.”
