Ilham Aliyev: We are pleased with the dynamics of development of relations between Azerbaijan and Maldives

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev congratulated his Maldivian counterpart Mohamed Muizzu on the occasion of Independence Day.

On my behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I express to you and your entire people the most sincere congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the national holiday - Independence Day of the Republic of Maldives.

We are pleased with the current dynamics of development of relations between Azerbaijan and Maldives, the expansion of cooperation of mutual interest. The launch of direct flights between the two countries, as well as the recent mutual exemption from visa requirements for holders of ordinary passports have given an important impetus to the development of contacts between people, in particular tourism.

I am convinced that we will continue to make joint efforts aimed at strengthening friendly relations between our countries, which this year mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, filling with new content the cooperation of mutual interest.

On this significant day, I wish you good health, happiness, success in your endeavors, and to the friendly people of Maldives - constant well-being and prosperity," the congratulatory message says.
