Vahid Hajiyev: Construction of the Goradiz-Aghband road is nearing completion

Construction of the Goradiz-Aghband highway is in its final stage.

This was stated by the special representative of the president in the Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan districts, Vahid Hajiyev, at the opening ceremony of the VII Summer Camp for diaspora youth.

According to him, many companies are interested in establishing warehouse complexes and logistics centers in the region, as well as expanding cargo transportation and storage capabilities.

"All of this will give a serious impetus to the economic development of the region and its transformation into an international transport hub," he noted.

Hajiyev stated that the large-scale "Great Return" project involves not only the return of people to their homes but also the development of business, education, services, as well as the emergence of new ideas and opportunities in the liberated territories.

He noted that the state is creating conditions for the implementation of this process, including tax and customs benefits, financial mechanisms for entrepreneurs, and support for investors.

According to him, agriculture, logistics, services, tourism, and culture are developing in the region. Two main economic zones have been established in the Karabakh and East Zangezur districts — the Aghdam Industrial Park and the Araz Valley Economic Zone in Jabrayil. More than 19 resident companies already have projects operating or under implementation in the latter.
