Journalist Elena Letuchaya attacked in Moscow
During the filming of a new episode of "Noviy Revizorro," journalist Elena Letuchaya was attacked with fists at a dental clinic.
The press service of the Pyatnitsa! television channel reported this to Gazeta.Ru.
A man and a woman, who identified themselves as patients, attacked Letuchaya, tried to take away her microphone, and followed her. The journalist had to call the police.
"The unidentified individuals were not even stopped by the arrival of the police. While the editors were writing a statement, they continued their absurd attack and prevented us from working," she says.
The reason for the attack was an investigation that Letuchaya was conducting at the clinic — she found out that for 5,000 rubles a day anyone could rent a dental office, since the clinic does not check for a diploma or a license. Inside the office, Letuchaya found unsanitary conditions, dirt, dust, and expired medications.
Letuchaya found another office for rent right in the food court of one of Moscow's largest markets; the clinic owners also did not require the tenant to provide a document confirming his education.
