A meeting of representatives of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and the United States took place in Washington
On August 10, a trilateral meeting was held in Washington between Azerbaijan's Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov, U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker, and Armenia's Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan.
This was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
The meeting took place on the first anniversary of the historic Washington summit held on August 8, 2025, and was dedicated to the process of normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current state and further steps within the framework of the initiative "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP). In particular, they discussed issues of advancing the implementation of the relevant agreements, as well as efforts to unlock TRIPP's potential in ensuring unimpeded regional interconnectivity, economic development, and lasting peace.
The parties also discussed the ongoing process of border delimitation between Azerbaijan and Armenia and emphasized the importance of continuing practical work on the basis of the agreements reached.
Special attention was paid to confidence-building measures that contribute to strengthening mutual trust and the sustainable advancement of the peace process.
The parties expressed gratitude to the United States for holding the trilateral meeting on the first anniversary of the Washington summit and emphasized the importance of transforming the commitments made into concrete results.
