Former lawmaker detained in Armenia

Armenia's Anti-Corruption Committee has detained former lawmaker Martun Grigoryan.

The detention was reported on social media by the politician's associate Liza Gasparyan.

The committee intends to file a motion with the court to arrest Grigoryan, who took part in the recent parliamentary elections on the list of "Prosperous Armenia."

What the criminal case is connected with has not been reported. The investigative body has not yet commented on the information.

In June, Grigoryan's son was arrested. He is a defendant in a criminal case on hooliganism opened in June 2025.
