The statements made by President Ilham Aliyev in an interview with Azerbaijani Television during his trip to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic remain in the spotlight of international media.

As AZERTAC reports, a number of European media outlets have paid broad attention to the head of state's remarks about Azerbaijan's intention to expand electricity exports and enter the European market.

Materials by the Czech State Television – ČT24, the Bulgarian outlets Banker and 3E-News, the news agency of the Republic of Srpska (SRNA) and the Provjereno.info portal of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Ukrainian financial and business outlets Fixygen.ua and Open4Business, the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT News), as well as the economic and business resource Oikonomikos Tachydromos (Ot.gr) highlighted Azerbaijan's intention to supply the European market, along with oil and gas, with electricity as well. The reports note that the existing power transmission lines pass through the territory of Georgia and Turkey, and that in the future new transmission lines and submarine cable projects will serve to expand these opportunities.

Foreign media also widely covered President Ilham Aliyev's statements about the possibility of Azerbaijan exporting electricity to Armenia and laying a power transmission line from Azerbaijan to Nakhchivan through the territory of Armenia. The publications drew attention to the statement by the head of our state about the readiness of the project to lay a power transmission line (PTL) to Nakhchivan through the territory of Armenia. In addition, President Ilham Aliyev's point that this line, even in crisis situations, could contribute to the stability of Armenia's energy system and ensure electricity supplies to that country was particularly emphasized.

Materials by the Iranian agencies Tasnim, Mashregh News, and Akharin Khabar brought to the fore the Azerbaijani President's remarks regarding the Zangazur corridor and railway communication with Nakhchivan through the territory of Iran. The material reflected issues of the creation of an industrial park in Nakhchivan, solar and thermal power plants, and told about the region's energy potential, the Zangazur corridor, transport infrastructure and the prospects of turning Nakhchivan into a regional transport and energy hub in the future.

Materials by such Russian mass media as Interfax, Kommersant, RIA Novosti, The Moscow Times, News.ru, RusCable and Vestnik Kavkaza cited the head of our state's statements concerning electricity exports, the Azerbaijan-Nakhchivan power link project, regional transport projects and Azerbaijan's intention to expand its role in the European energy market.
