Epstein's victims demand a public inquiry into his ties with the ex-prince

Victims of the notorious American financier Jeffrey Epstein intend to appeal to British Prime Minister Andy Burnham with a request to launch a public inquiry into former prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who was linked to Epstein, the Telegraph newspaper reports.

Earlier, the Sky News television channel reported that Burnham does not currently plan to initiate a public inquiry into Epstein's crimes.

"Jeffrey Epstein's victims intend to appeal to Andy Burnham with a demand to launch a public inquiry into the pedophile's ties with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor," the article says.

According to the publication's report, members of the British public organization UK Epstein Survivors Campaign will hold a meeting with Burnham in the coming months. The organization believes that the British authorities should conduct a national investigation to examine Epstein's ties with the British elite.

The Epstein case has received wide resonance in the United Kingdom because of his ties with former prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and former British ambassador to the United States Peter Mandelson.

It was precisely because of this that Prince Andrew lost his royal titles and military ranks, and Mandelson left his post as ambassador.

In 2019, Epstein was charged in the United States with trafficking minors for the purpose of sexual exploitation; in July of that year he died in prison, and the investigation concluded that it was suicide.

U.S. Deputy (now acting) Attorney General Todd Blanche announced on January 30 the completion of the publication of materials in the Epstein case. The total volume of the disclosed data exceeded 3.5 million files.
