Araghchi: Talks between Pezeshkian and Ilham Aliyev opened a new page in relations between Iran and Azerbaijan

The telephone conversation between the presidents of Iran and Azerbaijan, Masoud Pezeshkian and Ilham Aliyev, marked the beginning of a new stage in relations between the two countries.

This was stated by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Tasnim reported.

Araghchi highly praised the contacts between the heads of state and noted the importance of their telephone conversation.

Earlier, Pezeshkian stated that Azerbaijan had supported Iran in its most difficult days. President Ilham Aliyev, in turn, thanked the Iranian president for his warm and sincere words and emphasized that Azerbaijan stands alongside the brotherly people of Iran.
