Yerevan plans to establish trade with Baku within five years
Armenia intends to establish trade with Azerbaijan over the next five years as part of institutionalizing peace.
This is stated in the draft government program for 2026-2031, TASS reports.
"With the aim of institutionalizing and strengthening peace, the Government will continue work on signing and ratifying the agreement 'On the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan,' continuing work on the delimitation and demarcation of the state border with Azerbaijan, as well as on intensifying contacts between the civil societies and business communities of Armenia and Azerbaijan and bilateral trade," the document, included in the government's agenda and published on the website, states.
