Ronaldinho returns to top-flight soccer wearing number 10

Ballon d'Or winner, Brazilian Ronaldinho, has been presented as the new player of Italy's Ravenna.

The event took place in Ravenna. The player came on stage with the club's jersey bearing his surname and the number 10.

"I am very happy to be here with friends, we have a team that can do something good," Ronaldinho said. "I don't know [whether I will play], only the coach knows that. Reuniting with Italy is wonderful, I am here to help my teammates win. As you can see, I am in good shape, I feel good. If I could score my 300th goal [of my career], that would be even more beautiful."

In June, Ronaldinho signed a contract with Ravenna. The former Brazil national team player, who turned 46 in March, is also an investor in the club. The parties did not disclose the details of the agreement.

Ronaldinho ended his playing career in 2015, terminating his contract with Brazil's Fluminense. With Barcelona, he became a two-time champion of Spain and a Champions League winner. The player also played for France's Paris Saint-Germain, Italy's Milan, and Brazil's Flamengo, Atletico Mineiro, and Gremio.

With the Brazil national team, Ronaldinho won the 2002 World Cup, the 1999 Copa America, and also took bronze at the 2008 Olympic Games. In 2005, he won the Ballon d'Or, the award for the world's best soccer player according to the French magazine France Football.

Ravenna competes in the third tier of the Italian championship.
