Media Development Agency issues statement on the illegal activity of "Ajmedia.news"
The Media Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (MEDİA) has issued a statement regarding attempts by certain information resources to speak on behalf of various communities of the country.
The agency emphasized that all media entities operating on the territory of Azerbaijan are required to comply with the requirements of the Law "On Media" and to be listed in the "Media Registry" information system.
The statement notes that the website "Ajmedia.news," which positions itself as a portal created on the initiative of the Azerbaijani Jewish Media Center and public figures of Jewish origin, is not registered in the "Media Registry" and violates the requirements of media ethics. In connection with the violations of the legislation, the court issued a decision recognizing the activity of this resource as illegal.
The agency once again recalled that all media entities, including those speaking on behalf of any communities or social groups, are obliged to strictly follow the law and to provide the public with reliable and transparent information about their legal status.
