Dutch tourist rescued in the mountains of Sheki after dog attack - VIDEO
The State Border Service (SBS) of Azerbaijan evacuated a citizen of the Netherlands who sustained serious injuries in a dog attack in the Sheki district.
On the morning of August 29, Kramer Anne Hestler (born in 1979) set out on a hike. In the highland village of Bash Zayzid, she was attacked by dogs, which inflicted deep open wounds to her head and body.
The "Sheki" border detachment organized a rescue mission with the involvement of medical personnel. The evacuation took place at night at an altitude of about 2,000 meters above sea level in conditions of difficult terrain.
The team arrived by helicopter and provided first aid to the victim. After that, the foreign national was promptly taken to the Sheki Central District Hospital, where she underwent emergency surgery.
