Orange warning declared in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula due to strong wind

The National Hydrometeorological Service has issued yellow and orange warnings in connection with the windy weather expected on August 31 in Baku, on the Absheron Peninsula, as well as in many regions of the country.

Under the yellow warning, an easterly wind with a speed of 13.9–20.7 m/s is expected in Nakhchivan, Goygol, Ganja, Samukh, Agstafa, Gazakh, Dashkesan, Tovuz, Gadabay, Gusar, Shamkir, Khizi, Khachmaz, Shabran, Siyazan, Gobustan, Shirvan, Hajigabul, Neftchala, Agdam, Mingachevir, Yevlakh, Terter, Barda, Bilasuvar, Salyan, Jalilabad, Masally, Yardimli, Lerik, Kalbajar, Lachin, Fuzuli, Beylagan, Imishli, Saatly, Sabirabad and Jabrayil.

At the same time, in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula (under the orange warning), as well as in Goranboy, Naftalan, Julfa and Ordubad, the speed of the northwesterly and easterly wind may increase to 20.8–28.4 m/s. Orange warning declared in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula due to strong wind
