Two Azerbaijani citizens rescued from sunken vessel in Northern Cyprus

Azerbaijani citizens Valeh Hummetov and Rashad Ibrahimov were aboard the vessel that sank off the coast of Northern Cyprus.

As 1news.az reports, this was stated by the chairman of the Azerbaijan–Cyprus Friendship Society, Orkhan Hasanoglu, in a comment to AZƏRTAC.

"Both have been rescued," he said.

After receiving first aid, the Azerbaijani citizens were discharged from the hospital. "There is no threat to their lives or health," Hasanoglu noted.

Recall that as a result of the sinking of a passenger vessel off the coast of the city of Kyrenia in Northern Cyprus, seven people died and 237 were rescued.
